The training is intended for those from a relevant engineering background intending to be nominated as a competent person to inspect plant within that company or organisation.

On completion of the course participants will be able to operate a forklift truck safely, reducing the risk of injury to operators and pedestrians.

Operating a forklift truck is a specialised skill. Many accidents are caused by untrained drivers operating trucks in ignorance of the special conditions that apply to forklifts.

The Manual Handling Course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge to conduct all manual handling activities in a manner that will prevent injury.

All successful candidates receive a valid Fork Lift Driver certificate, which is valid for 3 years. There are two main types of forklift trucks, Counterbalance or Reach.

The course is aimed at those who are responsible for scaffolding, either in a management or supervisory role.
